Chase founded Real Estate Investing Edge to publish the research he was already doing for his own deals. He is an Operating Partner at Last Best Partners, where he leads strategy, acquisitions and market research — combining property-level data with underwriting software to source and price deals that pencil.
His work here concentrates on the parts of investing that are easy to get wrong and expensive to learn the hard way: debt structure and DSCR underwriting, the tax and entity decisions that follow a purchase, and the market analysis that determines whether a deal was ever worth doing. The calculators on this site are the same models he uses to screen deals, published rather than described.
He also runs Tax Sale Resources, a data platform covering tax lien and tax deed auctions across the United States.
